Overview of Great Marlow

Great Marlow is a large, sparsely populated rural parish on the southern edge of High Wycombe District. The boundaries are formed by the M40 to the north; Marlow Town to the east; the river Thames to the south as far as Temple Lock, which also forms part of the Thames Path National Trail and the parish of Hambledon to the west.

The main populated areas of the parish include: Harleyford, Bovingdon Green, Marlow Common, Finnamore Wood, Clayhill, Claymoor, Seymour Plain and Mundy Dean. Large areas of the parish are in green belt as well as the Chilterns area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) with an extensive network of public footpaths and bridleways.
