A major part of Great Marlow is in green-belt (71%) and 89% is classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB).
Over the years proposed developments have put some of the countryside at risk. These have included the transformation of Wycombe Air Park into a football stadium; the turning of Finnamore, the old Youth Reform School, on the Frieth Road into a small village and over development of High Heavens.
With the rolling valley of Munday Dean, the trees of Marlow Common and the river Thames, ours is a very beautiful Parish with each season bringing its own splendour.
This makes Great Marlow a very special place that needs our constant care and consideration, a delightful and tranquil part of the countryside just waiting for you to visit.
